Liam Fitzpatrick, MD
Liam Fitzpatrick, MD is a board-certified and fellowship trained physician specializing in Interventional Pain Management. He was born in Gainesville, Florida, but grew up on the coast of Mississippi
After receiving his bachelors degree in Nursing and working for six years as a nurse in the intensive care unit, emergency department, and operating room, he discovered that he wanted to be more involved in the management of his patient’s care. That is when he decided to attend medical school, and went on to complete an Anesthesiology residency and Interventional Pain Management fellowship. While in training, his interactions with patients struggling with chronic pain convinced him to dedicate his career to helping people find ways to manage pain and restore function.
Dr. Fitzpatrick earned his doctorate degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He then completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and continued his training with a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management also at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
Dr. Fitzpatrick has received specialized training in the management and treatment of disorders of the spine (disc herniation, disc degeneration, spinal stenosis), non surgicaltreatment of the hip, knee and shoulder, and myofascial and musculoskeletal pain. He believes in a multidisciplinary approach to treating pain using state-of-the-art procedures, combined with compassionate care to help patients regain an active lifestyle.
